Now is your chance to testify at a Senate Redistricting Committee Virtual Hearing
One of the most important things our state legislature will do this year is create our new congressional and state legislative districts. These decisions will influence who our representatives are and how well they represent us for the next decade. And we have an opportunity in the coming weeks to share our community’s perspective with these decisionmakers.
The Texas Senate’s Special Committee on Redistricting has called snap regional hearings to seek community members’ input on the redistricting process. The hearing focused on our area is scheduled for:
DATE: February 4, 2021
TIME: 9 AM
SIGN UP TO TESTIFY LIVE ONLINE
However, if you would like to testify but can’t make that hearing, you can join any of the other hearings, as the committee will hear testimony about any part of the state at any hearing. You must register to testify 24 hours in advance, and you will receive a link that you will use to provide your testimony via videoconference.
